As someone from "the North" I feel I'm an imposter to say I'm Irish, when in truth I'm a cultural outsider, full of colonial plantationist descendant's shame, coveting the love bestown on the romantic notions of the (true) Irish!
Earlier in the week, on your chat, you raised the topic of things that spark a feeling of joy. Reading this did so, especially after failing to reach the cinema last evening due to a blown out tyre on the A249.

Incidentally, although I've never had an Irish house painter only half finish my front door, Seamus from across the road did once do some plastering for us. He did a truly terrible job. He's dead now, but that's not related.
